Finding Peace and Hope
Just like each one of us is different, there is no one-size-fits-all resource on your healing journey. Below are some resources that have helped us. And please check out our podcasts and posts for additional resources shared by our guests.
Books
“Your Sexually Addicted Spouse: How Partners Can Cope and Heal” by Barbara Steffens- The best book I have found to explain what happens to your heart, mind, and body when there is betrayal trauma in a relationship. It also includes what you can do about it! Such a hopeful and powerful read!
“Boundaries” by Cloud & Townsend- I recommend this book to everyone. Boundaries are the key to healthy relationships, especially when betrayal is present.
“What Can I Do About Me” by Rhyll Croshaw- A great book about the journey to find healing through the trauma. healing through betrayal trauma, one honest step at a time.
Support Groups & Communities
Individual therapy and groups — being seen and heard is a large factor in healing. Sharing in a safe space is a vital step toward recovery.
TS-12 Anon- My #1 recommended 12-step support group. A trauma-sensitive adaptation of the tradition 12 steps.
